Thin Ice
When walking on thin ice, what would you do?
If it’s cracking and breaking, do you carry on or stop and freeze?
If you’re digging in the middle, and a whole lot breaks, do you keep digging or think of others and stop?
If someone was floating away, would you go and help or laugh and shout mean and sharp words?
Now think about this, don’t tear it apart.
What would you do?
If that thin ice was my heart?

Fire and food
A dark, pitch black night was appearing, steadily swallowing the most beautiful orange and pink ombre sunset. The bonfire, red and orange flames lit up the backyard, exposing every piece of grass around me. Timber fed, brought bigger flames, climbing higher and higher. I sat and watched the fire shine, I was creeping closer by the minute trying to escape the cold breeze. The closer I got, I felt warm and loved like, the fire reached out to me and gave me subtle cuddles keeping me safe. Time was passing, the colder it got, the closer I got without thinking. I moved a bit too close and “ahh!” I yelled rushing back from the fire. It pinched me on my shoulder, but I got over it quickly, at first it felt like a thousand needles stabbed through my shoulder.
