International Languages Week 2023-
From the 6th till the 10th of March we celebrated international languages week. This was a fantastic opportunity for our diverse students to celebrate their heritage and culture. This culminated with on Wednesday a parade of nations which included:
Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Singapore, Samoa, Hungary, Romania, Fiji, Ireland, Scotland, England, Philippines, Rainbow Community, China, South Africa, India, Italy, Cook Islands, Greece, Australia, Wales, Tokelau, Netherlands, USA, Malaysia, Tonga, Aotearoa.
This was then followed by a range of competitions for students to earn more points for their lake, the results are as follows:
Whakamaru - 248
Maraetai - 219
Arapuni - 217
Ohakuri - 175
Congratulations to Whakamaru and to all those who got involved and won more points for their lake!
